» About L-S.org

It’s up to all of us. One small step at a time.

Finally as of early 2007 the federal governments and mainstream medias of North America are taking seriously global warming and the possibility of environmental chaos due to human causes.

That is great. Industry might finally get the regulations that are required from our governing bodies.

However, it is going to take consciousness and change on the individual level to bring back our planet’s environmental equilibrium. There are a myriad of small actions that we can all take that will make our individual lives much more sustainable.

The Mission

This website provides a resource for individuals to learn about what small steps they can take in our quest for sustainability. There is lots of existing wisdom in this regards, but it needs amalgamated so we can all more efficiently learn about as many of these wisdoms as possible.

Butterfly Symbolism & Chaos Theory

In case you were wondering why L-S.org chose the butterfly as its logo, it has to do with Chaos Theory and the idea that every small action has a larger effect such as the butterfly flapping its wings and effecting the planets weather patterns.

“In biology chaos theory can explain how small random events may affect large ecosystems in an unpredictable way. Among the characteristics of chaotic systems, described below, is the sensitivity to initial conditions (popularly referred to as the butterfly effect).”
